About Us

The Crisp is back for its 5th year!

A heartwarming celebration of music, poetry, art, apples, and the stories that connect us. Hosted by the Southern Gulf Islands Community Resource Centre, the festival is about sharing songs and stories, learning new skills, and honouring the land that sustains us. Launched in 2020 with the Let No Apple Be Wasted gathering, The Crisp has grown into a cherished tradition - first at Port Browning, and now at the Pender Island Community Hall - where neighbours and visitors come together each year to feel, learn, and create.

The Crisp Festival takes place on S,DÁYES (Pender Island), the unceded traditional territories of the Coast Salish Peoples, including SENĆOŦEN speaking W̱SÁNEĆ (Saanich) First Nations
